Tadi check email sebab tengah tunggu email dari Adik - dia selalu macam tu, dah lewat malam baru nak sibuk-sibuk suruh tolong buat apa-apa..baru nak email, nak esok, abih aku ni? jenuh la bersengkang mata, nak reject tak sampai hati...adehhhh- pastu nampak ada email dari Nuffnang.
Ada offer untuk sponsored post berkaitan diapers, tapi for 45 parents only.
Tetiba ja macam excited coz sebelum ni rasa macam tak pernah dapat email offering sponsored post macam ni. Tengok orang buat sponsored post tu banyak la & selalu gak terdetik, "Hmmm, macamana depa ni dapat offer to blog about certain things eh?" So now I know lah..heheh
Dah lama tak blogging kan. Bukan sebab busy siapkan projects pun. Busy catching up with my current life; 3 boys & 2 of them go to school. Rasa almost 3/4 of my time dihabiskan settling depa punya uniforms; basuh, iron, sediakan untuk the next day, etc. and checking homeworks, sharpening pencils/colour pencils, check buku2 skolah..heh..banyak kerja lah...
Anyways, just wanna say HI! before I go MIA again. heh.

5 reasons why I'm not a famous blogger!
disclaimer: just in case you're wondering, I'm not whining or complaining, I'm just making fun of myself heheh
1- I'm no camwhore nor do I like taking pictures. This fact is evident in the absence of pictures in my posts. Hahahha. Sometimes, when I pull out my Galaxy Y and get the camera ready to take a picture, I'd somehow would feel embarrassed and refrain myself from snapping gazillion pictures of my boys. (I'm too old & not so cute anymore for pictures plus Ahmad never wants to take MY pictures :p).
2- My posts are not very informational and just mundane. I'm not a foodie & I don't have a passion for cooking, so I can't review restaurants or post new recipes. I don't travel much, my 'traveling' only involves me driving Shahrin to preschool every morning & the occasional quick trip to the mini mart. I don't have a blogshop although I'm supposed to be promoting Bling Buubies Nursing Kurung (Damn! I knew I forgot something important). So, what's left to write about? Who would want to read about Ahmad & me fighting every other day, right? Hahah.
3- Some days I would get stuck on how to begin writing about something for so long that the inspiration just evaporates into thin air, leaving my blog bare. Or I would begin writing and then I'd read through what I've written then edit them then edit them then edit them...you get my point.
4- I enjoy reading other people's blog too much to spend time to blog on mine!
5- Err...there's no 5th reason. Hahah.
-edited- I'm not a famous blogger becauuussseeeee....famous bloggers blog everyday or as often as they can, with pictures and how-to lists and (insert number here) things you need to know about (insert info here) and places they've been to and food they've eaten and things they're selling. Me? Err...I think I'll just maintain my usual low profile self hahah.

BM entry: Apo nak dikato....
Masa mula2 daftar broadband punya la seronok sebab akhirnya senang nak bertenet, tak payah nak berebut komputer dengan budak2 beringus & memekakkan telinga kat CC. Pastu, akhirnya boleh set-up servis proofreading, editing & translating dari rumah sebagai menambah duit poket.
Bila dah ada broadband, panjang la langkah menerobos blog sana blog sini sambil kunyah jajan sambil mata jeling2 anak (masa tu Nazrin kecik lagi) merangkak main sorang2 atas lantai. Waktu tu mula nampak orang letak iklan Nuffnang, buat entry pasal cash-out Nuffnang, teknik2 nak tarik ramai readers dan macam2 lagi la. Hati ni rasa teruja bila pikir, "aku pun dah ada blog, ble la letak Nuffnang ni, mana tau ble cash-out ratusan ribu macam bloggers lain" padahal masa tu blog ada di blogdrive.com.
Sudahnya, set up blog ni semata-mata sebab teringin nak buat duit dengan jadi affiliate member Nuffnang. Ni hah entry dulu2 pasal blogging untuk duit yang pernah aku tulis; Blogging for money. Malangnya, tadi bila check akaun Nuffnang (setelah sekian lama tak jengah), ni dia hasil yang aku dapat.....

What the ...?????
My fave blogger's pictures have been
wrongly used!!!
Apparently her twin's pictures have been used by someone else as their own.
They were even given new names.
The culprits used these children in their blog, facebook and
a fund-raising page for their child with cancer.
While I was at the linked facebook profile (visit Tertia's blog for more info about this), I wasn't sure where to look but the gist of what little I read was that the mother died yesterday during childbirth. They also have another child with cancer. I'm not sure why Tertia's twins were included in the profile picture of this family.
She suspects these people are running a scam for money by exploiting the story of their child having cancer. Don't know if this is even true but why do they even need to steal her twins' pictures & post it online?
Somehow this thing is making me rethink about posting my children's pictures in facebook and even here in my blog.

AHA! moment while watching TV?
Watched Criminal Minds tonight.
Love! LOve! LOVe! LOVE it!!!!
As Oprah always says, this was an AHA! moment @ lightbulb moment for me when I heard it tonight.
This is soooooo totally me.
Wake-up call for ANIS!!!!!!
Love! LOve! LOVe! LOVE it!!!!
As usual, there were quotes spoken by the characters as the opening and closing part.
Tonight, Dr. Reid (love this character, sometimes funny but always brilliant!) said a quote by James T. McKay.
"TOMORROW, YOU PROMISE YOURSELF, WILL BE DIFFERENT, YET, TOMORROW IS TOO OFTEN A REPETITION OF TODAY."
As Oprah always says, this was an AHA! moment @ lightbulb moment for me when I heard it tonight.

My busy days..
For the past 2 weeks, I've been swamped with assignments, one after another.
Yeah right..there were only three but since I always procrastinate and only get serious when the dateline is like Hellooo!!! TOMORROW!! I've had to stay up late just to finish them off. *sigh*
Seems like I never learn from my mistakes. I do them over and over and over....
A high school motivator once said, "Stupidity is when you repeat your mistakes again and again, expecting different results."
Anyway, I think I'd like to list them just in case anybody who read this blog (local) would like to hire me. *wink wink*
1- I did some data entry for a school teacher who was too busy with other stuff.* Data entry is the simplest job I get and although the pay is small (I usually charge RM0.30/data depending on the difficulty), at least I earn some pocket money for me & my boys.
2- This is the first time I get to do transcribing. A client sent me a CD with a 50min video in it and instructed me to write down everything that was said in the video. I was stupid enough to think that "Well, it's just 50 min, that's not gonna take long to finish.." and took my time doing it till 2 days before the dateline. Hahah..I finally had to stay up all night the night before I had to email the finished document to my client and suffered terribly the whole day. What made this assignment hard was because I had to rewind the video again and again just to really catch the conversation going on in it. All in all, I earned quite a lot for this one (and we celebrated by going to Pizza Hut and had ourselves a set for 2 of the cheesy wedges pizza, will definitely order this again next time we go there) and had secured a contract with this client for more transcribing projects. Alhamdulillah.
3- The last one was a translating project. This one was actually sub-contracted to me by another fellow 'technical writer'. Her son had to be admitted for dengue fever, so she couldn't make the dateline and asked me to cover for her. So, I translated 8 pages of a journal and still waiting for my payment to get through. This project was quite easy enough, so no complaints here.
Personally, I think editing and proofreading is way easier to do than translating but truthfully, each projects comes with their own challenges. I did paraphrasing once and I definitely find this the hardest of all because I have to be very careful with my wordings since I need to keep the context the same, just worded differently. I really struggled with this project but I did get paid quite a lot, so I really shouldn't be complaining. heheh.
Well, today after finishing all my projects, I finally crashed.
I've been sleeping on and off again all day. The boys kept me from having one long break but then again, this is nothing new. Just woke up from my 3rd nap today *grin* and decided to write this post as a reminder to myself to not repeat this mistake again.
* The data entry project was actually eye-opening for me. I found out that in our community, there is a high number of single moms who had to support their children on meager wages. Most of them lost their husbands due to death; medical, accidental, some to divorce (I'm only presuming since they don't have any death certificate attach to their other documents) and there are also grandparents who had to support their grandkids with money doing farming only.
Kind of made me realized just how lucky I am....

What do you do when there's nothing to do?
SCARE UP SOME FELT! (sing it like the Happy Monster Band do in Disney Junior)
As promise, this post is about the up-cycling I did for Shahrin's 'new schoolbag' (which should have been completely unnecessary if only I can remember where I stored his old schoolbag...)
Anyhoo..just 3 days to go before school started last week on 4th Jan (why did the Ministry of Education allowed the first day of school to start in the middle of the week anyway? duuhh) and I suddenly remembered that I had Shahrin's old schoolbag stored away. Mind you, even when I have limited spaces to 'store' stuff, I've actually managed to misplace so many things over the years. Signs of my mind getting older and feebler (if that's even a word...) With 2 more days to go and I still couldn't find his bag, I asked Ahmad to buy him a new one with the instruction to not buy something expensive, yet, since we can splurge later next year when he goes to primary school (gasp!!!! my 1st born is almost 7???). Here is what Ahmad came up with:
Plain RM2.00 2nd-hand bag that Ahmad bought at the night market. |
It's actually an Allianz bag. |
I made this name tag for Shahrin to cover the original logo. I used 2 sheets of felt; one blue for the letters and a grey sheet for the back piece. |
This was done the day before school started which was on Wednesday of last week. I've also made something else out of felt, to put on the front of the bag since it looked too plain. I'm trying to make a felt applique, but it is a bit complicated, plus our little family's current health condition made it impossible to finish it on time.
This is a downloaded picture, curtsy of Mr. Google that I printed on a piece of paper as a template. |
This is the half-finished felt version. A Thomas felt-applique. |
They look 'almost' the same, right? |
It's taking way too long to finish up the details. If only I can zoom in closer on these pictures, I can show you just how horrible my stitches are. I'm thinking of buying one of those bigger-sized cross-stitch needle with embroidery floss or something for the lines along Thomas, to make them pop-up more. Regular needle and thread is taking too long plus the thread do not show to much on felt.
Well, hopefully I can show the end result soon. Till then, toodles.

Upcycled black tank top: Cute tote.
The finished project!
Doesn't it look pretty? It took me only half a day* to turn the tank top into this tote.
Unfortunately, I don't have a handy strap to go with it. Luckily, I found the black
luggage straps among my trash stash and decided to use it with this tote.
Basically, all I did was sew in the polka dotted gross grain ribbon across the top part of the tank top and downwards through its center. I bought the ribbon from Cintahati Craft along with some felt, more ribbons, a magnetic sheet and buttons that I have yet to use. *sigh* Next, I sewed close the bottom part of the tank top and sewed the corners into smallish triangles.
Up close and personal.
Remember that fabric flower from my previous post? I made felt leaves to go along with it.
I know I made more than 1 flower but when I tried putting on all 3 of them on the tote, they looked so crowded. That's why I only sewed on 1 flower here as embellishment.
Oh, btw, do you notice the buttons along the top part? I saw Shahrin playing with them and putting them onto the ribbon just like that while I was still deciding on what to do with the tote. His inspirational idea made him really proud when I showed him what I did, hehe.
On a totally unrelated note, can't wait for Thursday to come. I have a date with baby in my tummy!!! Maybe I'll use this new tote for my next visit to the doctor. Mmmm can't wait to see baby. hehehe..
* half a day to sew and finish up the tote but 3 days to find the right handle/straps for it. Actually, I haven't decided if I want it to be a cross-body bag or just a tote, if you notice the 2nd and 3rd picture.
What do you think?

Fabric flowers inspired.
I found some fabric scrap in Ahmad's bundle of 2nd-hand shirts. And since I had more time on my hand with Shahrin not around, I was inspired to make some fabric flowers. For a detailed tutorial, please visit Creation Corner.
I started by making 5 fabric circles. I know that in the tutorial she used 6
but I liked it better with just 5 'petals'.
Following the instructions, I folded one circle into half.
Then, folded it half again.
I skipped showing the threading part but basically what I did was the same as in the tutorial.
Here's the finished flowers. The top one has 6 petals and the bottom only has 5.
I liked 5 petals better so I made 2 more '5-petal flowers' using the same scrap of fabric.
These flowers are used in another project which will be revealed soon
(since Shahrin is already back home & I have my hands full now heheh).

Inspired..
I love, love, love reading Cecily's blog at Uppercase Woman.
Today I read this post which is such a beautiful and heartwarming post.
She is the most soulful when she reminisce about her childhood and her struggle through the hard years spent being poor. Most touching are stories about how she coped with the death of her twin babies due to complications during pregnancy. Though I have no personal experience with pro-life or pro-choice, I am thankful for my two relatively easy pregnancy and birth with the boys. Hopefully this one will be easy as well.
Another blogger I once lost and have recently found again is Ellie at One Crafty Mother.
If I was ever an alcoholic (and THANK YOU ALLAH I am a muslim, thus forbidden to ever touch it), her recovery stories are inspirational, kind and soulful. Even if you're not an alcoholic, her recovery stories do still touch at the very basic of human feelings. They help you accept your current situation and nudge you towards a better change. Plus, she is a very talented crafter who sell exceptional jewelries she made herself. I started reading her blog because I wanted to join in her monthly giveaways but got hooked on her stories instead. Unfortunately, after losing her URL and finding it again after so long, I found out that she has been tested yet again. This time with cancer in her neck. Such a brave woman, to have survived alcoholism, now having to face cancer. Please do stop by and send her kind words. Ironically, as another reader posted on her comments section, people read her posts and left comments with the intention of supporting her and giving her strength to endure this trial, but I agree with that other reader. I leave her blog feeling her strength and supported BY her instead.
These are writers whom I inspire to be. I wish I know how to tap into my brain and pull out such eloquent words and quotable quotes. They write what they know and they certainly know more about life and living it than I do.

Forcing myself to post!
*sigh*
I've been wanting to post since....my last post but every time I log into my blog, clicked on the 'new post' icon, my mind would go blank. Or one of my boys would call me, to do something with him. Or Ahmad would need help finding something (as always...). Or something...you know?
Well, anyway, I am forcing myself to actually write something, anything today because I pity my blog. Not that I have lots of visitors here (Hai Aina!!! I see you!! hahaha) but it is nice to know that some of my friends still stop by to read it (Hai Adik! Zarin! Azza! -name-dropping- but who cares, right? hehe).
I can honestly say that I really envy writers who really depend on their writing for a living. Because if I were to be in their shoes, I'd long be booted out of the publisher's list for not writing anything in a very a long time.
I, however, have been busy proofreading a thesis and writing a few articles of my own, as a ghost-writer, that is. The thesis is done, I'm just waiting for the payment to come through before emailing it to its writer. The articles are in progress and I've just gotten a call this morning for 2 more articles, from the same person. So, I guess I'll be busy for the next 2 weeks, trying to complete these articles. Hopefully, I don't get a 'writer's block' while completing them because that would be a disaster! After all, I am trying to make a living doing this kind of thing.
I do have other things I want to post about but for now, I think I have to get back to my articles. They don't get written by themselves, now, do they? Heh.
Enjoy your days!

Pregnancy related issues.
I've been reading Cecily's blog for a long time now and she is an inspiration to me. She writes about anything and everything under the sun. Most especially about her darling daughter, Tori and about the lost of her twins, Zachary and Nicholas.
Apparently, this month she is concentrating on women's health and one of the most important topic that I find interesting to read is about pregnancy related issues. Please go read her article here and here she wrote about issues mothers face after giving birth. Both articles have been eye-opening for me, even now, with my 3rd pregnancy.
The first issue struck a nerve in me, firstly because next year, in April, I will be facing the same life and death situation faced by all pregnant mothers in this world. Secondly, the stats she presented are terrifying, to think that even with today's medical advances, women still have to face their mortality when they should be celebrating a new life. I've heard stories of friends who experienced horrible birthing situations and I'm sure you have too. I still remember precisely what happened during Shahrin's birth and had even said that I don't ever want to go through it again. Luckily, I had an easy labor with Nazrin though I cheated since I opted for the C-section instead of waiting for normal labor. Apparently he had pooped in the womb (medically known as Meconium Aspiration) while I was only 3cm dilated. The Doc advised us not to wait since it could affect his health, so we agreed to her suggestion.
As for the second issue, my mom had repeatedly warned me about post partum depression or in Malay "meroyan". She told me not to worry too much about stuff and to ask for help whenever I feel overwhelmed with anything at all. I guess that's why we have 40 days confinement period, where the mother and the newborn are looked after by relatives, especially grandmothers, just so the mother can rest and recover. I do believe this period is necessary, to make sure that someone would always be around just in case the mother IS having PPD or just having a hard time coping with a new baby. That way, she can get the treatment she needs to get better.
Thank you Cecily for the articles. They are truly informative and hopefully will give me more knowledge on how to manage my pregnancy, labor and post-labor situations.

Ermmm...
While waiting searching for ideas for the [iPad MySuperKids] contest, I visited some of the other contestants' entries, to steal get an idea of what I should write about for the contest. My conclusion? WOW..seriously!
I love quite a few of them for the simplicity of their entry, for the sheer novel approach to posting an entry as well as for their creativity.
Well, there goes my chance of ever winning this contest coz I'm neither creative nor have a good entry (hhuhuhu).
I would really love to be able to write as well as some of these bloggers.
I do notice something while blog-hopping; most of them use very 'loose' writing styles, whereby they wrote their entries with street-style language, be it in Malay or English. Some even mix English & Malay while writing.
I wish I could be that loose.
I've always been so strict with myself except for the times when I wrote about things I hate or when I just don't give a d*#n about what I write about.
*sigh*
Ok, ok...this is a crappy entry, I know. I wanted to write something meaningful but as usual, my brain is not cooperating with me. So what else is new, right? Heh.

Etiquette to be observed at the hospital.
Hi all.
I've finished proofreading the theses 2 days ago. Still haven't got paid though.
Hopefully they'll pay me today since I need that money to repair my car.
I'm currently kind of stuck on what to blog about since I've been incognito for the last 2 weeks.
I did bring home (to my parents house) my lappy but the broadband coverage was crappy & I couldn't log-in.
Then, after we've come back here to Bagan Serai, I started doing the proofreading project & couldn't find the time to blog. Today, I just don't know what to blog, even though I no longer have any other projects to do.
But I do remember wanting to write down my piece of mind regarding hospital etiquette that everyone should observe. 6 days with Shahrin at the ward with all the other hospital visitors really opened my eyes about 'being considerate' and 'thinking of others'.
Elevator rules.
The new-ish Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah has a 7-floor building used as wards. Shahrin was placed on the 4th floor in the surgical ward, for women and children. They do have 2 special rooms for children in that ward but they were full, so we had to stay with the ladies instead. Anyway, while doing the day-shift, I did find myself having to use the elevator a few times a day, to get to the cafeteria or the convenience store located on the ground floor. There are 4 elevators which are mostly empty except for during visiting hours. Here's a few rules I think should be posted on the elevator doors for 'visiting hours only':
1- Wait for your turn.
During visiting hours; 12.30 - 2.00pm and 4.30 - 7.30pm, the number of elevator users surge exponentially. The closer to the end of visiting hours, the more people come to visit loved ones at the numerous wards. They all think that they deserve to get into the elevators first and the moment the doors open, everybody would rush forward, slamming into those who are trying to get out of the elevators. Please wait for your turns! It's like watching primary students rushing to get onto the school bus. Sheesh people. Couldn't you wait 30 seconds till everyone who are trying to get off, have gotten off? Don't make me suggest to the management to post a sign saying: PLEASE Q UP!
2- Be considerate.
When you see that the elevator is already crammed with people, Please wait for another elevator! No matter how crowded the elevator already is, there are still individuals who would inconsiderately push their way into the already-full-to-near-capacity elevator. I mean, things can get really awkward in that situation, especially when everyone has been sweating a lot.
3- Think before getting on.
There are indicator lights above the elevator doors, telling its passengers where the elevator is headed for. If you are going down, Don't ride on the elevator that's going up! People think that just because the elevators are there, they (the people) can just ride them up and down, as many times as they like. They are not thinking about the other visitors who are waiting to get on and visit their relatives/loved ones/friends in that hospital wards too.
Ward rules.
There are sections in a particular ward (at least the 2 wards that we went to) and usually 4-5 beds are placed in each section. For the convenience of the patients and visitors alike, a toilet and a bathroom are located nearby. Unlike the old hospitals where for the whole ward, the toilets are placed at the end of the long hallway and patients have to waddle/walk (depending on the type of injuries) slowly in order to use it. There are also curtains hanging from the ceiling for those moments of privacy for the patients.Observe these rules, please:
2- Clean it up.
When visitors flock to see the patients, most of them would bring home-made foods along. It's like having a picnic while visiting a patient. For the industrious individuals, they would wash their dishes at the sink in the toilets provided after they have finished their meal. Unfortunately, many of them would just rinse all the leftovers into the sink and leave it full of filth after they are done. Clean up after yourselves, people!
3- Use of garbage bins.
All around the wards are strategically placed bins for different 'garbage/trash'. When a patient is admitted into a ward, a nurse would inform the patient and the person who is going to take care of him/her of the rules to be obeyed while in the ward. One of the rules is the different use of different bins; yellow bin is specially reserved for biological waste i.e. bloodied cotton swabs, diapers, gloves, wipes. The other bin can be used to throw other types of ordinary waste. However, most visitor just ignore the sign showing exactly what can and cannot be placed into the yellow bin. To them, a garbage bin IS a garbage bin, regardless of its color.
4- Observing the drawn curtain policy.
When a patient needs a little privacy or when a doctor needs to exam him/her, the caregiver/person waiting on them/nurse can draw the curtain, offering a little private space to do whatever it is that needs to be done behind drawn curtains. However, there are some visitors who do not respect this policy. Though they came to visit somebody else, they sometimes wander around and mingle with the other visitors. The mingling somehow gave them the justification to ignore the fact that some patients do not want to be disturb, thus the drawn curtains. To them, every patient are open for discussions or should be looked into because, you know, it might be interesting. Please, next time you visit someone at the hospital, do not rudely poke your head into a section with drawn curtains.
Well, that's all I need to write about hospital etiquette or what I feel visitors should observe while visiting a patient. All of the above are just common curtsey, things that people should/shouldn't do if they really pay attention to their surroundings. These etiquette are not to burden anybody, just to ease everybody's business.
I've finished proofreading the theses 2 days ago. Still haven't got paid though.
Hopefully they'll pay me today since I need that money to repair my car.
I'm currently kind of stuck on what to blog about since I've been incognito for the last 2 weeks.

I hate it when people just leave the toilet without flushing. I mean, all you have to do is Press the flush button! (or pull the pump or whatever necessary to flush the toilet) & it will be clean for the next user. But for some people, flushing a toilet is far beneath their capabilities and why bother doing it when there is somebody else who's going to do it for you.2- Clean it up.

Quick update.
I'm still busy doing proofreading but I am quite excited about a new project I wish to try.
Though I think I still owe you an entry on hospital etiquette right?
Will be doing that soon, hopefully. My current work is due tomorrow, so, better get back to it.

Hello ladies!
I am so excited about this. I have been given the green-light with selling
Bling Buubies Nursing baju kurung online, here on my blog.
Personally, I have breastfed both my boys and while doing that have been (first born) and still is (second son) very rewarding; mentally, physically and financially, there are times where I felt torn, between keeping my virtue in tact and fulfilling their demands.
I always wear casually on outings; blouse, T-shirts and slacks and the occasional baju kurung.
If you breastfeed, you'd know how it is,right? Whenever your services are required, you'd have to 'discreetly' find a seclusive spot (heh..good luck with that, especially if you're in a mall), lift your top-piece and let the baby/toddler have at it.
Now, with shorter top-pieces, things are easier, but with baju kurung, you'd really have to do a lot of fidgeting and maneuvering before you can get down to business.
Now, a few talented SAHMs had gotten together and build a business based around breastfeeding and things related to babies. One of their brand is Bling Buubies Nursing Apparel; Baju Kurung and Jubah, where these pieces have been constructed to ease nursing, even in public.

Yeah baby!
Ulalala..Adik has really spiced up my blog! Lovin' it!!!!!
Muchas gracias Adik.
I especially love the 'portrait' she made, of the boys and me.
Maybe one day, when I have enough money (heh), I might ask her to revamp this blog a bit.
Kind of grown bored with the green background it currently sports.
More later, k.

Dear All,
Been getting quite a lot of attention these days, thanks to the free iPad contest.
I don't feel the urge to do any more entries for this contest, partly because I realized that my previous entries were not very creative at all. Another part is because I think the organizer is dragging the contest for too long.
It's okay, really.
Though getting a FREE iPad would be the most absolutely wonderful thing,
the feeling has faded a bit due to lots of things.
Anyway, for this post, I would like to thank Yatie Chomeyl and Ibn Mustakim for their recent comments, about my blog and my contest entry.
Thank you both for coming here and saying nice things about me and my writing.
Your comments really means a lot to me.
They validated my self-worth and the way I see myself, through this blog.
I know I can learn from both your blogs too.
Yatie, I love the thoughts and the information you carefully placed in your entries. They make for a wonderful learning experience, especially the ones regarding Japanese nurseries. I have a 5 years old & been sending him to a pre-school nearby since he was 4. I would've loved to home-school him but taking into account my own (in-capabilities?), I think it would be wiser to place him in better hands. By the way, I strongly agree with you on the banning of inappropriate pictures on Muslimah's blogs. Thank you reminding me too.
Ibn Mustakim, you were right about that entry. Though in my defense, that was my very first entry, so, yes, it was kind of rushed and done without much thought. However, I like to think that my 3 other entries have improved, somewhat. I know, going back to the organizer's blog & reading through all the other entries, I felt really bummed since mine are not even up to par.
Thank you anyway for giving your comments. I really appreciate it.
As for now, I need to get down to business. I have 2 more journals to proofread, by tomorrow.
Haha..procrastinating queen here!

Ibu's sick...
Sick..mind, body and soul.
These past few days had been horrible; Shahrin puking everywhere,
Nazrin wanting to be hold ALL the time!
Nazrin wanting to be hold ALL the time!
The house is a complete wreck.
I could only do the laundry, even then it's because my father had given us a washing machine, without it, dirty clothes would've piled high up to the sky. *sigh* like the unfolded ones...
This past week, when I finally have the time alone, the boys sleeping and Ahmad off doing what he does every night (don't ask, I don't know..), I tried to write something.
But my tired brain couldn't come up with anything..
That first sentence up there? I wrote that 3 nights ago!
Fortunately tonight, I feel a bit better and think that I really should just force myself to write something, regardless of the cohesiveness or even the content.
Kind of like 'free writing', see what comes up, you know?
Well, last time I checked with the iPad organizer, she had listed several entries.
When I read through each one, I immediately felt defeated.
There is no way I'm going to be passed to the 2nd part of the audition.
I, myself find my entries as not creative and uninteresting, as oppose to the other entries listed by the organizer. Sorry, too tired to even attempt going over there and link them up here.
Reading all the other blogs suggested by the participants,
I realized that I need to work more on my niche.
So far, all I did, have been to write according to what had happened that day or if something interesting got stuck in my mind and I just have to write about it.
I don't really offer any useful information, or post interesting stuff,
or even write a good post.
In order for me to draw more readers to this blog, I need to upgrade my entries.
I said before that my life's stories is my 'niche', so, instead of just writing about my family being sick, maybe I should write instead about *how* I got through the puke and the high fever and the never-ending crying. Maybe I should focus more on how I made use of the tips I got from my mother on how to bring down a fever. Or what to do or not do when Nazrin's head is burning hot, yet his feet are cold as ice. (When this happens, DO NOT put water (jelum) on his forehead, try to keep him comfortable and wait till his feet are warmish
before putting a damp cloth to cool him down)
I need to do more research on how to upgrade my blog.
Hmm..any suggestions?

Going Nuffnang.
I got sick of waiting for my ManggaAds to be more profitable.
I see a lot of bloggers using the Nuffnang ads, posting about Buffered Earnings and how much they've earned from it.
Consider me sold on this one!
